The Favorites list allows you to keep track of your favorite places, and to share them with others. In the current version of Snikkr, any places you create will be shared with all your friends (except for Blocked friends -- see the Friends section for more). In your favorites list you see your own favorites, and those shared with you by others. These favorites all show up on your map, and you can get directions and find them all quickly, with just a few clicks.

There are a number of ways of adding favorites.

The Add Favorite... menu item. This will bring up the Add Favorite dialog, which allows you to specify a name and address for your favorite.
The Make Favorite... menu item in the map view's full menu. This will also bring up the Add Favorite dialog, which allows you to specify a name and address for your favorite. This menu item will also show up in the context menu if you have a search result selected.
The Show on Map menu command from the built in Calendar or Contacts BlackBerry application. If you select this menu item for one of your contacts, of upcoming events, the item will be displayed in Snikkr. The item will also be added as a "temporary" favorite (in the favorites list it will show up as "private and temporary"). If you want to turn this item into a permanent favorite (and share it with your friends), you should select it in the favorites list or on the map, and choose Make Favorite from the menu.

In the current version of Snikkr, all permanent favorites are shared will all your friends (other than friends you have blocked). Temporary favorites, like upcoming events, are not shared with your friends.

In Snikkr 1.5, you can select which favorites you see: all, or just your own.

Snikkr automatically scans you calendar for events in the next 2-3 days, and adds them as temporary (and private) favorites so they show up on your map. Note that Snikkr will only add an event as a temporary favorite if its location can be geocoded (turned into a map location).

This feature only works on platforms that allow it. In particular, the iPhone does not support this feature.

Show on Map. This option will return to the map screen, centering the display on the selected favorite.
Details. Displays the details for the selected favorite, as well as the most common commands. Note that all of these commands are also in the menu.

Get Directions. Gets directions from your current location to the location of the favorite, and displays them.
Get ETA. Gets the ETA from you to the favorite, based on driving directions.

Call. Calls this favorite on the phone. This will only be displayed if the favorite has a phone number. This is usually true of favorites made from contacts and search results.

Comment.... Comments on this favorite. Your friends can see comments made about your shared favorites on the favorite's details page.
Edit. Allows you to change the name or address of the favorite. Only is displayed for your own favorites.
Delete. Allows you to delete the favorite. Only is displayed for your own favorites.

Sort by Name. Sorts favorites by name.
Sort by Distance. Sorts favorites by their distance from you.
