Each item (Friend, Favorite, Search Result, Directions and TrackMe) has a details screen. On the iPhone, the details screen contains tap-able
information and buttons. You can swipe right and left to move between items. Note that if the details screen is long enough to scroll, you must
be careful to swipe only horizontally, otherwise the iPhone will interpret your swipe as a scroll.
General
On each detail screen, the first thing displayed is an icon or headshot for the item, along with its address.
You can tap on this
info to view the item on the map.
Below that info, there are several buttons for interacting with the item's location. You can get Directions to the item, Search Near it, or
copy the item to the clipboard (this copies only the item's address).
If the item has a phone number and/or email, that information will be displayed. You can tap Call or Text to call or text the item, or tap
the email address to start an email to the person.
Friends
For friends, you also see when their location was last updated (if they are sharing location with you). Also, you can Ping a friend (send your location
and request theirs at the same time), or just Send your Location to them. Snikkr will try to use Push to send this message, but if the friend is not configured
for Push, Snikkr will send an email or text.
If you Ping your friend, the ping will show up in your Pings and Pongs list, in your friends list. If you just send your location, it will not.
You will see the sharing status for your friend, and can change it with the Block/Unblock, Share Location/Stop Sharing Location, and QuickShare/Stop QuickShare
buttons. See the
Friends topic for more about sharing levels.
At the bottom of the screen, you will also see their status updates, and any comments people have made about them. You can comment by tapping on "Make a comment".
You can also De-friend a user from this screen.
Favorites
For Favorites, you can also select the TrackMe to Here button, which will create a TrackMe you can send to people via email, with the current item as the
destination of the TrackMe.
At the bottom of the screen, you will also see comments about the item. You can comment by tapping on "Make a comment"
Search Results
For Results, you can also select the TrackMe to Here button, which will create a TrackMe you can send to people via email, with the current item as the
destination of the TrackMe.
Results also have an option web address that will be displayed. Tap on the web address to open the item's page in the browser.
If a result is not already one of your favorites, you can make it a favorite from here.
Directions.
There are no additional commands specific to directions.
TrackMes
TrackMes have some different commands from other items. You can Stop, Extend or Delete the TrackMe from its details screen. The screen will also list the TrackMe's url
along with commands to Send the url via email, View the TrackMe in a browser, or copy the url to the clipboard.
